Peri-ADHD — Cycle & Focus · Last updated: 6 July 2026
Peri-ADHD has no account, no analytics, and no advertising — your check-ins are stored on your phone, and we cannot see them. The only things that can ever leave your device are subscription processing and an optional, de-identified statistical summary you explicitly turn on.
What we collect
Nothing is collected by us directly. Peri-ADHD has no login, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We — Cognideep, the developer — never receive your journal.
Information stored on your device
Everything you enter is saved in a database on your phone:
- Daily check-ins — your ratings (e.g. how hard getting started felt), sleep, essentials done, symptoms, “lighter day” marks, and any notes you write.
- Cycle events — the period start and end dates you log.
- Profile — your menopause stage, ADHD status (diagnosed / self-identified / exploring), whether your difficulties are long-standing or recent, and whether you use ADHD medication or hormone therapy (yes/no only — never names or doses).
- Preferences — reminder settings and your AI opt-in choice.
Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also take a complete encrypted copy with you at any time (see “Files you export” below).
When information leaves your device
- Subscription processing (RevenueCat). If you subscribe to Pro, the purchase is processed by Google Play / the App Store and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated ID and purchase/receipt information — never your check-ins, cycle data, or profile. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
- AI-phrased insights (opt-in, off by default). If you turn on “Phrase insights with AI”, the app sends a de-identified statistical summary of a time window you choose to our insight service, which forwards it to an AI provider to write the plain-language insight text. That summary contains only aggregate counts, per-phase averages, per-metric changes, symptom frequencies, generic labels like “getting started”, and a yes/no hormone-therapy flag. It never contains dates, notes, names, identifiers, or your raw daily logs — and the app shows you the exact figures sent (Insights → Assumptions). Turn the switch off at any time and nothing further is sent.
- Files you export yourself. The clinician summary (PDF) and encrypted backups are generated on your phone and go only where you choose to share them. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know; we never see the file or the passphrase and cannot recover either.
That is the complete list.
Permissions
- Notifications — only for the optional daily check-in reminder you set. Never used for marketing.
What we never do
- We never sell data — there is nothing for us to sell; we don’t hold your data.
- We never use your data for advertising or profiling.
- The app never asserts a diagnosis and never provides medical advice. It is a wellness journal, not a medical device.
Your choices and rights
- Access / portability: Settings → Back up & restore gives you a complete, portable, encrypted copy of your data at any time.
- Deletion: delete the app and all locally stored data is deleted. To end RevenueCat’s processing, cancel your subscription; anonymous purchase records are retained as required for financial compliance.
- AI opt-in: off by default; withdraw any time in Settings.
Because your data stays on your device, rights such as access, portability, and erasure (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Principles) are satisfied directly by the controls above. For anything else, contact us below.
Children
Peri-ADHD is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If the app’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the date above revised before the change ships. Material changes will be called out in the app’s release notes.
